Salman Khan begins Bigg Boss shoot amid threats: 60 guards, no one leaves until wrap

Amid the security threats, Bollywood actor Salman Khan arrived at the set of the TV reality show Bigg Boss 18 late on Thursday night. The 58-year-old actor was accompanied by robust security. A source close to India Today Digital revealed that he stayed in his designated chalet within the compound, ensuring his safety ahead of the scheduled shoot today, Friday.
Salman started shooting for Bigg Boss 18 at around 7 pm on October 18. While he usually starts shooting post lunch by 4 pm, he was almost three hours late this week. One of the reasons for starting the shoot late is that there are no film promotions happening this weekend. However, sources informed us that TV show Laughter Chefs stars Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lahiri could enter the house for some fun segments.
Salman Khan’s team has been coordinating closely with production and the channel to facilitate his movements amidst heightened security on the set. The source further shared that the actor will be shooting with more than 60 security personnel present on set, and strict measures have been implemented to safeguard the area. No outsiders are permitted to enter the compound without proper Aadhar card verification.
Additionally, the Bigg Boss 18 crew has been instructed to remain on-site until the shoot concludes, which will feature two Weekend Ka Vaar episodes scheduled to air this weekend.
Meanwhile, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has sent a threat message to Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman to settle a long-standing feud with the gangster. The message warned that if Salman failed to pay, his fate would be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently shot dead.
Baba Siddique was killed a day after Salman Khan shot the last weekend episode of Bigg Boss on Friday, October 11.
After Baba Siddique’s murder, Salman Khan has been provided Y-plus security, and a police escort vehicle now travels alongside his vehicle, with a constable trained to use all weapons accompanying him.
